Israeli forces intensified air strikes across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, targeting several areas, including makeshift displacement camps in Gaza City and the al-Mawasi area, according to media reports.
The renewed attacks reportedly killed and injured several people, although no immediate official casualty figures were available.
According to Al Jazeera, Israeli drones and fighter jets carried out multiple strikes without prior warning, hitting tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in Gaza City and al-Mawasi, an area previously designated as a humanitarian safe zone under the ceasefire framework agreed last year.
The latest bombardment came amid continued concerns that the ceasefire has failed to halt hostilities on the ground.
In addition to the air campaign, Israeli ground forces reportedly expanded their military operations in the eastern parts of Gaza City.
Residents told local media that Israeli troops had advanced approximately 500 metres deeper into al-Musaddar village in central Gaza, extending the so-called "Yellow Line" buffer zone marked by concrete barriers.
The reported advance has raised fears among local residents that more communities could become trapped between active combat zones, further limiting access to safe areas and humanitarian assistance.
Witnesses said the continuing military operations have created a climate of fear, with the sound of drones and fighter aircraft becoming a constant feature of daily life in Gaza.
Despite the ceasefire agreement reached last year, air strikes and military operations have continued almost daily, leaving many residents questioning the effectiveness of the truce.
The Israeli military had not immediately commented on the latest strikes.
