Bangladeshi entrepreneur Mahmud Hasan has marked a significant achievement in Japan’s competitive business sector as his company, Growth Partners Co., Ltd., won the “Business Idea Award” at the 4th Saitama New Business Award.

The award ceremony was held on Tuesday (19 May) in Saitama, Japan, where Hasan received the trophy and certificate at a grand event attended by representatives from government, banking and business organisations.

According to organisers, the “Business Idea Award” is presented to a single company among all participants. This year, Growth Partners stood out among 126 competing Japanese companies for its innovative and forward-looking business strategy.

The judging panel said the company demonstrated strong potential for sustainable growth and social impact, particularly praising its integration of technology, human resources, IT solutions and international business strategy into a scalable model.

The competition is regarded as one of the prominent business events in the region, with involvement from institutions including the Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, Saitama Prefecture, Saitama City, Japan Finance Corporation and several leading financial and business associations.

Following the award, Mahmud Hasan’s achievement gained attention in Japanese media outlets, including The Saitama Shimbun, Omiya Economic Newspaper and Yahoo! News Japan.

He also appeared as a guest on J:COM Channel’s programme “Jimoto Topics Plus”, where he spoke about the company’s business vision and international expansion plans. The programme was broadcast across the Saitama, Sendai and Gunma regions.

Expressing gratitude after receiving the award, Mahmud Hasan said the recognition belonged to his team and supporters, adding that representing Bangladesh in a highly competitive market like Japan was a matter of pride.

He said the company aims to continue showcasing Bangladeshi talent and innovation on the global stage.
