Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has yet to clear players’ payments from the last National Cricket League T20 (NCL T20) and the National Cricket League four-day competition.
NCL T20 concluded on 12 October, with Rangpur Division claiming the trophy for the second consecutive year, while Akbar Ali-led team won the subsequent four-day competition. Nearly three months later, players have still not received their dues from either tournament. “Yes, our accounts department has some issues,” BCB’s tournament committee manager Abu Emam Mohammed Kawsar told Daily Sun. “We are hoping it will be sorted soon and players will get their payment from tomorrow (Monday),” he added.
Meanwhile, players from several franchises that participated in the last Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) have also accused their respective teams of non-payment.
It was learned that Dhaka Capitals and Noakhali Express have paid only 25% of their players’ dues.

“Every time we ask for money, they say that they gave guarantee money to the cricket board and the board will pay us if they don’t,” said a Noakhali player. A Dhaka Capitals player also spoke about the delay: “I don’t know wbcbhen I will get the remaining payment. If it goes to the cricket board, it will take time to process. We may have to wait until the next BPL.”
