The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the mandatory information and documents that aspiring pilgrims must submit during the pre-registration process for the 2027 Hajj, as registration officially began on 1 July.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, the ministry said pre-registration is the initial step for Bangladeshi citizens wishing to perform Hajj.
Applicants are required to provide a National Identity (NID) card, a Bangladeshi passport or birth certificate, a passport-sized photograph, a mobile phone number and a bank account number when completing the pre-registration process.
The ministry said members of the same family may use a single bank account for registration purposes.
It also made bank accounts compulsory for pilgrims travelling under both government and private Hajj management systems to ensure secure, transparent and well-organised financial transactions.
Pilgrims who completed pre-registration previously without submitting bank account details have been asked to provide the information during final registration.
The ministry noted that, in accordance with the Hajj roadmap set by the Saudi authorities, the registration process for the 2027 pilgrimage must be completed by 26 September.
