BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) successfully hosted the “M&J Group Presents BUFT National Quiz Competition 2025,” powered by Giant Group and organized in association with the BUFT Brand Ambassador Team, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the BUFT Auditorium, Nishatnagar, Turag, Dhaka.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of BUFT and Former President of BGMEA, who attended as the Chief Guest. Mr. Mohammed Nasir, Member of the BoT, BUFT, graced the occasion as the Special Guest. Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice Chancellor of BUFT, presided over the ceremony, while the welcome address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Convener of the Competition.

The program was moderated by Mr. Mohammad Imtiaj, Director of Public Relations at BUFT and Member Secretary of the Competition.

The day-long competition brought together over 500 college students, all selected from the First Round qualifiers held across the country. The event fostered a vibrant atmosphere of knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm aiming to inspire young minds toward intellectual excellence and encourage a spirit of healthy competition. Upon arriving at BUFT, participants faced the second MCQ round, from which 20 teams advanced to the quarterfinals. Six teams then moved on to the semifinals (Buzzer Round), and finally, four teams qualified for the Grand Finale featuring the Audio-Visual and Rapid-Fire rounds. After an intense final round, Government Science College emerged as the champion, Dhaka College secured the position of 1st runner-up, Bir Sreshtho Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College became the 2nd runner-up, and Government Science College student Md. Iftiyaf Ahnaf Shachchho was honored as the Best Participant.

Distinguished guests, faculty members, parents, officers, and senior journalists attended the event, adding further prestige to the occasion. The competition concluded with an award ceremony, a group photo session with the winners and dignitaries, and a cultural program & fashion runway organized with the support of the BUFT Heritage Club and BUFT Cultural Club. The event was co-powered by Fucolor, Hue Tech BD, Rossari, S&D Chemicals, Asutex, RH Corporation, Urmi Group, and Remex. The Event Partner was Channel 24, and the Knowledge Partner was Learnup. Media Partners included ATN Bangla, Bangladesh Pratidin, The Business Standard, The Daily Campus, and Radio Today.
