Bangladesh batter Sobhana Mostary has been nominated for the ICC Women's Player of the Month award for October 2026 following her record-breaking performance against Australia.
Sobhana is among the three nominees alongside India's Deepti Sharma and Australia's Annabel Sutherland for the monthly honour.
The 24-year-old made history during Bangladesh's ODI series in Australia, scoring a brilliant 118 off 134 balls in the second ODI in Brisbane. Her innings, featuring 18 boundaries, was the highest individual score by a Bangladesh woman in ODI cricket and helped the visitors post 220-6.
Although Bangladesh lost the match and eventually the three-match series 3-0, Sobhana finished as her side's leading batter with 129 runs at an average of 43.00.
Her nomination recognises a remarkable month for the right-handed batter, who has emerged as one of Bangladesh women's team's consistent performers.
Deepti impressed against Zimbabwe, while Sutherland contributed with both bat and ball against Bangladesh and New Zealand.
