Bangladesh A announce preliminary squad

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced a 19-member preliminary squad for the upcoming Rising Stars Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar, from 19 to 29 November.

The 50-over tournament will feature eight teams, with the 'A' sides of five Asian Test-playing nations competing alongside the national teams of three associate countries.

Bangladesh A have been placed in Group A alongside Sri Lanka A, Afghanistan A and Hong Kong.

Experienced batter Sabbir Rahman has earned a place in the preliminary squad, alongside Parvez Hossain Emon, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Mohammad Naim Sheikh, Mohammad Saifuddin, Afif Hossain Dhrubo and Zakir Hasan.

Several cricketers who impressed in the National Cricket League (NCL) have also made the preliminary cut. However, the BCB are yet to announce the team's captain.
