BCB warns against suspicious links after Instagram hack

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has warned players, officials and affiliated organisations against clicking on suspicious links after its official Instagram account came under a hacking attempt on Sunday night.

In a security alert posted on the account, the board said it had been facing repeated attempts at unauthorised access. It also revealed that messages containing links to illegal cryptocurrency and betting websites, along with potential phishing links, were being sent through the account.

The BCB urged everyone to avoid opening or interacting with any links from the account until further notice. It also cautioned against sharing personal information, passwords or login credentials through such links.

The board said recovery and security measures were underway and promised a further update once the account was fully secured.
