Amite Hasan's unbeaten double century for Sylhet Division against Khulna Division in the latest National Cricket League (NCL) match has earned him a place in Bangladesh's squad for the second Test against West Indies in Sylhet.
The right-handed batter scored an unbeaten 201 to help Sylhet secure victory and strengthen his case for national selection. He has replaced Mominul Haque, who will miss the match due to concussion protocols.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 15-member squad on Saturday, confirming just one change from the team that played the first Test in Mirpur.
A player diagnosed with concussion must observe a mandatory minimum of seven calendar days away from play before returning to action.

Amite has played only one official Test for Bangladesh, against Zimbabwe in Harare in June 2026. He scored four and 25 runs in the two innings, respectively.
Meanwhile, Taskin Ahmed, who returned to the Test side in the opening match against West Indies, has retained his place in the squad.
Najmul Hossain Shanto will continue as captain, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz serving as vice-captain.
Bangladesh squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Shadman Islam, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Tawhid Hridoy, Litton Kumer Das, Jaker Ali Anik, Mehidy Hasan Miraz (Vice Captain), Nayeem Hasan, Hasan Mahmud, Taijul Islam, Shoriful Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim, Taskin Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury and Amite Hasan.
