Anvir Bashundhara Sports City secured a massive 7-0 victory against the Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) in a friendly football match on Tuesday.
The game took place at Futsal Ground-2 of ABG Sports City, the country's most modern sports hub. It was a unique clash between the new facility's team and the nation's oldest and most traditional sports journalists' organisation.
Anvir Bashundhara controlled the game from the very first whistle. They played an attacking brand of football and put BSPA under constant pressure, comfortably taking a 4-0 lead by half-time.
The home side kept their momentum going in the second half. They maintained their complete dominance on the pitch and scored three more goals to finish the match with a 7-0 scoreline.
Sports City director Imrul Hassan and Sabuj led from the front, showing great skill in attack to score two goals each. Sikder, Hemanta, and Shahed also got their names on the scoresheet, scoring one goal apiece to complete the big win.
Even though Anvir Bashundhara completely dominated the one-sided match, the honest effort and fighting spirit of the BSPA journalists caught the attention of everyone present. Overall, it was a fantastic and highly enjoyable game of football for the sports fans in the crowd.
