Bashundhara Kings secured a thrilling 4-2 comeback victory over Chattogram City FC in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) on Saturday, overcoming an early deficit to maintain their strong push near the top of the table.

Chattogram City FC took a surprise lead in the 12th minute through Aashish Sonam. However, the Kings responded swiftly to take firm control of the match. Robson Robinho equalised in the 27th minute following a neat pass from Mohammad Ridoy.

Ridoy proved instrumental once again just a few minutes later, setting up Robinho to put Bashundhara ahead in the 31st minute and complete the swift turnaround before half-time.

Following the break, the Kings sharpened their attacking play. Rakib Hossain extended their advantage in the 50th minute, finishing off a third assist of the day from the brilliant Ridoy. Robinho then sealed the result with his second goal of the match, converting a penalty in the 79th minute. Jafar Iqbal managed a late consolation for Chattogram from the penalty spot in the 87th minute, leaving the Kings with 10 points from their first four matches.

Elsewhere, Mohammedan Sporting Club continued their flawless winning streak by thrashing Dhaka Wanderers 4-0 at the Shaheed Bir Shreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj. Shahriar Emon opened the scoring in the 29th minute from a Souleymane Diabate pass. The attacking duo reversed roles in the 52nd minute as Diabate doubled the advantage. Muzaffarov made it 3-0 in the 56th minute, before Arif Hossain completed the commanding victory in the 86th minute. Mohammedan now boast a perfect 12 points from four matches.

Despite Mohammedan’s relentless form, Bangladesh Police FC retained their spot at the summit of the league. Police secured a narrow 1-0 win over PWD at the Shaheed Miraz-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj to reach 13 points from five games, though Mohammedan are breathing down their necks with a vital game in hand.

In the day's final fixture at the Gopalganj District Stadium, City Club cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory against Arambagh. Pakistani forward Shayak Dost starred with a well-taken brace, guiding his team to 10 points from five matches and moving them into the top four of the league standings.
