The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced free entry for spectators to designated galleries during the first Test between Bangladesh and West Indies at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
The visitors arrived in Bangladesh earlier this week and are currently taking part in a two-day warm-up match against BCB XI in Mirpur as they prepare for the opening Test, scheduled to begin on 28 October. The second Test will start in Sylhet on 5 November, with both matches counting towards the World Test Championship (WTC).
Under the special arrangement, spectators will have free access to the North and South galleries throughout all five days of the first Test. The initiative expands on the usual practice of allowing schoolchildren to attend Test matches in Bangladesh without charge.
However, free admission will not be available at the Grand Stand, Shaheed Jewel Stand, Shaheed Mushtaque Stand or other VIP and hospitality sections.
