Nicolo Tresoldi’s hat-trick powered Club Brugge to a stunning 4-3 victory over Inter Milan, while Lamine Yamal inspired Barcelona to a commanding 4-1 win away to Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Tresoldi struck three times to leave the Italian giants reeling at the San Siro, where former Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer returned to haunt his old club. The Belgian side bounced back from an opening-round defeat to Aston Villa to claim their first points of the campaign.

“It was an unbelievable and fantastic night. I dreamt many times of these nights and this was the best dream,” Tresoldi said.

The defeat left the reigning Italian champions without a point after two matches, piling pressure on them ahead of their next European fixture against FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

In Istanbul, Barcelona recovered from a difficult first half to overpower Galatasaray 4-1, with Yamal orchestrating the turnaround after the break.

Aleksei Batrakov’s deflected strike had put the Turkish hosts ahead in the 27th minute. Barcelona responded through Joao Cancelo before Fermin Lopez headed them in front in the 50th minute.

Three minutes later, Yamal’s dazzling footwork created the opening for Anthony Gordon to extend Barcelona’s lead. Karim Adeyemi added a fourth in the 65th minute after another attack involving the teenage captain.

The victory lifted Barcelona to the top of the standings with two wins from two matches, while Galatasaray remained without a point.
