Chattogram secured the only victory of the second round of the National Cricket League (NCL), beating Barishal by an innings and one run on Tuesday in Cox’s Bazar.
Dhaka’s Ashiqur Rahman Shibli and Rajshahi’s Sabbir Rahman also struck centuries on the final day, while the other three matches ended in draws.
Barishal needed 294 runs to avoid an innings defeat but were bowled out for 293, falling just one run short of forcing Chattogram to bat again.
Left-arm spinner Ashraful Hasan Rohan claimed five wickets for 77 runs to seal the victory.
After three days dominated by batters in Sylhet, the bowlers took centre stage on the final day, with 12 wickets falling across three innings for 286 runs.
Leg-spinner Aminul Islam Biplob took five wickets for 108 runs as Sylhet were dismissed for 496 in their first innings. Dhaka declared their second innings at 219-6, with Shibli scoring 101 off 172 balls. It was his fifth first-class century.
Sylhet then lost a wicket for just two runs in two overs in their second innings.
Rajshahi bounced back strongly in Mirpur after being bowled out for 119 in their first innings. They declared their second innings at 500-9, powered by an all-round performance from Mahedi Hasan, who followed his first-innings haul of six for 38 with a century.
The all-rounder scored 104, while Sabbir made 113 off 221 balls, registering his fifth first-class century.
At the Sylhet Academy Ground, Rangpur declared their second innings at 245-6, setting Mymensingh a target of 373. With victory out of reach, Mymensingh focused on saving the match and finished on 189-4.
Mahfijul Islam scored 68, while Al-Amin remained unbeaten on 55 to secure the draw.
