Hridoy, Rishad enter APL draft

Towhid Hridoy  and Rishad Hossain have joined the list of Bangladeshi cricketers registered for the upcoming Afghanistan Premier League have joined the list of Bangladeshi cricketers registered for the upcoming Afghanistan Premier League (APL) player draft.

Their inclusion takes Bangladesh’s representation to seven, alongside Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana.

The draft also features several prominent overseas stars, including Evin Lewis, Luke Wood, Gudakesh Motie, Wanindu Hasaranga, Alzarri Joseph and Akeal Hosein.

The APL is scheduled to begin on 27 December. Three franchises have already been confirmed, while work is continuing to finalise the remaining two teams.

The tournament is expected to attract strong international participation as Afghanistan prepares to revive its premier franchise-based T20 competition.
