Dhaka Abahani-Chattogram City Federation Cup match postponed

Abahani Limited's Federation Cup match against Chattogram City FC has been postponed, forcing both teams to wait longer for their opening fixture of the tournament.

The match was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday. However, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) decided to postpone the game due to unavoidable circumstances.

A new date for the fixture is expected to be announced later by the competition organisers.

The postponement means Abahani's start to their Federation Cup campaign has been delayed, while Chattogram City will also have to adjust their preparations ahead of the rescheduled encounter.

The Federation Cup is one of Bangladesh's major domestic football competitions and features clubs from across the country's football pyramid.

The delay has further disrupted the Federation Cup schedule, with the opening matches of both Abahani and Mohammedan Sporting Club now postponed since the start of the tournament.

The BFF is yet to announce a revised date for the match and has not disclosed the reason for the postponement.
