Hamza Choudhury enjoyed a memorable full-match debut for Sheffield United as the Blades came from behind twice to beat Bolton Wanderers 3-2 at Bramall Lane on Tuesday, earning their first league win of the season.

The midfielder was named in the starting XI just a day after completing his permanent transfer to the club, with manager Chris Wilder immediately trusting him in midfield.

Hamza produced a calm and energetic display as Sheffield United battled through a frantic contest before Romelle Donovan scored the winner in the 93rd minute.

Bolton made a flying start, with Xavier Simons opening the scoring inside the first minute. Sheffield responded almost instantly, however, as Japhet Tanganga levelled in the fourth minute.

Hamza helped the hosts settle in midfield and impressed with both his passing and defensive work. The 28-year-old completed 45 of 50 passes, recording 90% accuracy, while winning all four of his tackles.

Bolton went ahead again in the 67th minute through Sam Dalby, but Sheffield restored parity just a minute later when Patrick Bamford found the net.

With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Donovan struck deep into stoppage time to complete Sheffield United’s dramatic comeback.

The victory lifted the Blades from 14th to 10th in the league standings.
