Mosaddek nominated for ICC Player of the Month

Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain Saikat has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for June on Monday.

He, along with India One Day International skipper Shubman Gill and New Zealand pacer Nathan Smith have been nominated. 

Mosaddek returned to the national setup after almost four years with the first ODI against Australia on home soil.

His all-round performance of 86 not out with the bat and 2/37 later with the ball earned him the man of the match award. 

He later finished with a tally of 157 runs, two wickets and a player of the series accolade, which included two fifty-plus innings. 

This return of his helped Bangladesh clinch their first ever ODI series victory over the Aussies.
