Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited have signed Bangladesh pace sensation Nahid Rana ahead of the Dhaka Premier League's (DPL) resumption after the Eid-ul-Azha break.
The 23-year-old is set to feature for the Black and Whites when the league restarts, with his first match scheduled the day after tomorrow against Legends of Rupganj.
However, his stint will be brief.
"If the national team gives permission for a second match, we'll play him in that too," a Mohammedan club official said.
"The last two matches, no national team players can feature at all,” the official confirmed as well.
Nahid arrives in exceptional form.
He was the standout bowler of Pakistan Super League 2026, claiming nine wickets in five matches for Peshawar Zalmi at an economy rate below six, helping the franchise lift the title.
He then finished as the leading wicket-taker in Bangladesh's One Day International series win over New Zealand, taking eight wickets at an average of 16.75.
Even a single appearance from him could prove decisive in Mohammedan's long-awaited push for a DPL title.
