Bangladesh struck four times in a dominant morning session to reduce Pakistan to 96 for four at lunch on the second day of the second and final Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, with Babar Azam unbeaten on 37 and Salman Ali Agha on six.
Taskin Ahmed set the tone immediately, removing both overnight openers in quick succession.
Abdullah Fazal, who had survived the first day's closing overs, edged behind to Litton Kumar Das off the third ball of the morning for nine.
Azan Awais followed shortly after, caught at short leg by Mominul Haque off a late-swinging delivery for 13, leaving Pakistan wobbling at 23 for two.
Babar, returning from a knee injury that kept him out of the first Test, joined Shan Masood and the pair counter-attacked briskly, adding 38 off 38 balls to put Pakistan back on the front foot.
Bangladesh lost their review attempting to dismiss Masood off Nahid Rana, with UltraEdge revealing a faint contact with the bat.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz ended the partnership on his first appearance with the ball, Masood caught brilliantly by substitute fielder Nayeem Hasan at short cover for 21 off a mistimed pull.
Saud Shakeel then fell cheaply for eight, caught behind off Miraz attempting a sweep to leave Pakistan in trouble at 79 for four.
Bangladesh took four wickets for 75 runs in the 24-over session, leaving Babar, who is batting on 37 in his 58-ball knock, with the task of rebuilding Pakistan's innings after lunch with Agha who is batting on six off 15.
