The Bangladesh Cricket Board ad-hoc committee, led by Tamim Iqbal, is expected to deliver a definitive update regarding the board’s upcoming elections during a high-stakes meeting on Monday.

After six weeks in charge, the committee is prepared to use this long-awaited board session to finalise the framework for the electoral process.

Sources suggest that Tamim and his colleagues are keen to expedite the proceedings, with an aim to complete the elections by the end of this month.

While this marks the committee's third formal gathering since taking office, the election roadmap dominates the agenda.

Key outcomes expected from Monday’s session include the formation of the Election Commission and the announcement of a provisional polling date.

Beyond administrative matters, the board will also conduct a thorough performance review of the national team’s recent white-ball series against New Zealand.

The session will evaluate the team’s successes and shortcomings during the tour as they transition back to the longest format.

Furthermore, discussions are slated regarding preparations for the upcoming Test series against Pakistan.

Given the breadth of the agenda, Monday’s meeting is being viewed as a critical juncture for both the immediate governance and the long-term strategic direction of the country’s cricketing landscape.
