Payment formalities for the 12th edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season continued on Sunday at the Bangladesh Cricket Board office, where two more franchises completed their dues.
The Noakhali Express and the Sylhet Titans both cleared their full payments to players, while the Dhaka Capitals requested five additional days to finish the process.
Umpires’ committee chairman Iftekhar Rahman Mithu supervised the disbursement alongside players and officials.
Earlier, the Chattogram Royals had cleared their payments a few weeks ago, setting the tone for the remaining teams.
Sylhet captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz expressed satisfaction with the progress across the league.
“Alhamdulillah. Look, everyone in the BPL has received their payments; this is definitely a good thing. And of course, I want to thank the cricket board, those who organised the BPL, and those who were in the BPL Governing Council,” he said.
Miraz also credited Mithu’s effort in ensuring the process stayed on track.
“Mithu bhai worked very hard… he talked to every team about this money and completed every process that needed to be done. And today, we from Sylhet also received the money. Every player is very happy. And this time, the BPL was very good.”
