Tigresses to play tri-series in Scotland ahead of T20 World Cup

Bangladesh women’s cricket team will feature in a tri-nation series in Scotland involving hosts Scotland and the Netherlands as part of their preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales, a top Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official confirmed.

BCB Women’s Wing chairperson Rubaba Dowla said the series has already received approval and forms a key part of the team’s structured build-up to the global event.

“You have already seen that they became unbeaten champions in the World Cup qualifying round, winning all seven matches,” Rubaba said, referring to Bangladesh’s dominant campaign in the qualifiers.

“Before that, we are organising the Women’s Bangladesh Premier League. Then there will be a home series here. After that, we have already received approval for a tri-series. The team will go to Scotland. Scotland, the Netherlands and Bangladesh will play very soon. We have already planned these things,” she added.
