Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain is flying out to Australia on Monday to join the Hobart Hurricanes for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) 2025–26 season, which is scheduled to begin on 14 December.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has issued him a full No Objection
Certificate (NOC), clearing the way for his full participation.
At just 23, Rishad becomes only the second Bangladeshi to feature in the BBL
— the first being Shakib Al Hasan back in 2015.
The Hurricanes drafted him in 2025 after he missed out last year due to BPL
commitments, and now he is set to arrive in Hobart with high hopes that his leg
spin will shine on Australia’s fast, bouncy pitches.
