Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman made a bright start to his International League T20 campaign, delivering an impressive spell,  conceding only 26 runs and claiming 2 important wickets on his debut for Dubai Capitals. Although his team could not secure a win, the left arm quickly made an immediate impact with the ball.

Dubai Capitals faced the Gulf Giants on Saturday, Mustafizur bowled four tight overs. Introduced into the attack in the second over of the innings, Mustafizur struck with his very first delivery. His trademark cutter found the edge of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, giving Capitals a much-needed breakthrough. Returning for his second spell, the Bangladeshi star continued to trouble the batters. In the twelfth over, he dismissed the dangerous Pathum Nissanka with the first ball of the over.

Despite his disciplined bowling, Dubai Capitals fell short in the contest. They posted 160 for six after batting first, but the Gulf Giants chased down the target with six wickets in hand in 18.5 overs.
