Sylhet Titans have strengthened their squad for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) with the signing of Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai and Pakistan fast bowler Salman Irshad.

The franchise confirmed Salman’s signing on Wednesday, followed by Omarzai’s announcement on Thursday through official media releases.

Omarzai, one of Afghanistan’s most dynamic all-rounders, adds both firepower and versatility to the Titans’ lineup. The 25-year-old has represented Afghanistan in 60 T20Is, scoring 693 runs at an average of 16.50 and a strike rate of 120.31. With the ball, he has taken 43 wickets at an average of 27.48 with an economy rate of 8.29.

He is no stranger to the BPL either. Having featured in three editions of the tournament previously, Omarzai has played 20 matches, scoring 260 runs at a solid average of 23.63 and a strike rate of 132.65. He has also claimed 22 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 7.35, further proving his value as a dependable all-round option.

Meanwhile, Pakistan pacer Salman Irshad will be returning to familiar territory. Though uncapped in T20Is for Pakistan, Salman has been a consistent presence in the BPL over the past three seasons. Across 14 matches, he has picked up 16 wickets with an economy rate of 8.04.
