Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) has formally requested the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to explain the exclusion of several players from the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) auction.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, CWAB said the cricketers involved have been left “highly distressed” after being barred from entering the 2025-26 BPL auction list. 

The association stated that the players’ futures are now uncertain and their professional reputation has suffered as a result of the BCB’s decision.

However, CWAB President Mohammad Mithun said the organisation supports strong integrity measures in Bangladesh cricket and expressed confidence in the BCB’s integrity unit. He emphasised the need for transparency and communication with the affected cricketers.
