Rangpur, Barishal, Khulna, and Sylhet claim victories in low-scoring encounters

The 14th Women’s National Cricket League 2025-26 witnessed four thrilling low-scoring contests on Saturday, as Rangpur, Barishal, Khulna, and Sylhet secured narrow wins across different venues in Dhaka.
At BKSP Ground 3, Rangpur Division edged past Dhaka Division by just one wicket in a tense chase. Batting first, Dhaka struggled to post a competitive total, finishing at 98 in 20 overs. Murshida Khatun Happy top-scored with 39 off 49 balls. Rangpur’s Dipa Khatun, Shorifa Khatun, and Lata Mondol claimed two wickets each. Chasing a modest target of 99, Rangpur lost both openers for ducks and saw their middle order collapse. Lata and Shorifa stabilized the innings, and Oddrita Nowaisir finished the chase with a quick 17 off 11 balls, guiding Rangpur to a dramatic one-wicket victory with two balls to spare. Jarin Tasnem had impressed with the ball for Dhaka, taking 3 wickets for 15 runs in 3.4 overs.
At BKSP Ground 4, Barishal Division defeated Rajshahi Division by 16 runs. After losing early wickets, captain Rabeya Khan led from the front with 40 off 32 balls to take the team to 96, supported by Shibani Rani’s 22. Disha Biswas shone for Rajshahi with 3 wickets for 10 runs, while Boby and Anisha Soba took 2 wickets each. Chasing 97, Rajshahi faltered despite Sharmin Sultana’s 30 and Ritu Moni’s 17, ultimately falling short of 16 runs.
In Bogura, Khulna Division defended a low total of 77 against Mymensingh Division, winning by 13 runs. Dilara Dola top-scored with 18 for Khulna, while Rumana Ahmed’s brilliant 4-wicket spell, complemented by Sabekun Nahar’s 2 wickets, restricted Mymensingh to 63. Shorna was the highest scorer for Mymensingh with 18 runs.
Finally, at BKSP Ground 3, Sylhet Division narrowly defeated Chattogram Division by 8 runs, defending just 83. Shamima Sultana led Sylhet’s batting with 29 runs, while Fahima Khatun took 5 wickets for Chattogram. Despite Esha Rahaman (12) and captain Fahima Khatun (15) trying to chase, Sylhet bowlers collectively defended the total, with Laboni and Afrin Mim taking two wickets each.
