Aich Mollah leads recovery as Mymensingh reach 271/8

The fourth round of the 27th National Cricket League (Four Day) 2025–26 began today, with Mymensingh facing Chattogram at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium, Chattogram. Batting first, Mymensingh closed Day 1 at 271 for 8 after 90 overs.
Mymensingh suffered early setbacks, slipping to 16 for 2, but Aich Mollah anchored the innings with a composed 65 off 136 balls. His knock helped rebuild the innings after a shaky start. Later, Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury added valuable runs in the middle order, scoring a brisk 54 off 74 deliveries, pushing the total past 200.
Late in the day, Arif Ahmed (36 off 69) and Maruf Mridha (22 off 60) held firm and will resume the innings on Day 2.
For Chattogram, Nayeem Hasan was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets, while the rest of the attack supported well to keep the scoreboard in check.
