TikTok removed nearly 14.8 million videos in Bangladesh for violating its Community Guidelines during April-June 2026, with 99.8% detected before users reported them.
According to the platform's Q2 2026 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, the removed videos accounted for around 0.9% of all content uploaded in Bangladesh during the quarter, according to a press release.
Of the videos proactively removed, 92.7% were taken down within 24 hours of posting. However, 205,001 videos were later restored following review.
Globally, TikTok removed more than 188 million videos during the quarter, equivalent to around 0.5% of all uploaded content. Automated detection technologies accounted for 183 million removals, while around 626,000 videos were reinstated after review.
The platform also removed 278 million comments worldwide for violating its policies, up from 238 million in the previous quarter. It further took down 147 million fake accounts and 26.8 million accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13.
The report showed that sensitive or mature themes accounted for 19.5% of removed videos, while 13.7% violated safety and civility standards.
Dangerous activities and challenges accounted for 13.5%, while body exposure and sexualised behaviour made up 13.8%. Edited media and AI-generated content accounted for 1.8%.
TikTok said its AI-powered systems had become more effective at identifying and removing older violating content during the quarter.
The platform publishes its Community Guidelines Enforcement Report periodically to provide insights into content moderation, account removals and enforcement measures. The latest report is available through TikTok's Transparency Centre in Bangla and English.
