On this historic day in 1952, brave sons of the soil laid down their lives to defend the right to speak their mother tongue. In remembrance of the language martyrs—Salam, Rafiq, Barkat, Jabbar, Shafique, and all those who sacrificed for linguistic freedom—wreaths were laid at the school’s Shaheed Minar. The ceremony served as a heartfelt tribute to their unparalleled sacrifice, followed by a special prayer seeking eternal peace for their departed souls.

In his address, the Principal Abdullah Al Masud highlighted
the significance of language proficiency in today’s competitive world. He
stated: “To thrive in the modern global landscape, students must attain a
high level of proficiency in English. However, progress must always be rooted
in a deep respect for our mother tongue and core values. Our institution
remains committed to nurturing honest and capable citizens through the
integrated teaching of English, Bangla, and Arabic, alongside moral and ethical
development.”
The programme
featured recitations, patriotic songs, and presentations reflecting on the
Language Movement, making the day both meaningful and inspiring. With the
enthusiastic participation of students and teachers alike, the spirit and
historical significance of the day were vividly brought to life for the younger
generation.
