Forward of the Bangladesh under-20 women’s national team, Mst Sagorika, has been handed a suspension of three-match, and a fine of $500, following a red card against Nepal on Sunday.
In the 56th minute of the match, a clash between Sagorika and Nepal’s Simran Rai escalated into a physical altercation, prompting referee Yangkhey Tshering to send both players off with red cards. Both of the players received the same punishment, as Daily Sun came to know.
Sagorika scored a total of four goals in the ongoing SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship so far, with a hat-trick against Sri Lanka in the opening match. She will be available in Bangladesh’s last match of the tournament against Nepal on 21 July.
