All kinds of gatherings, rallies, processions, demonstrations and protests have been prohibited in several important areas of Dhaka city starting from today.

The restrictions, imposed in the interest of maintaining public order and ensuring the smooth movement of people, will remain in force until further notice, according to a media release issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate on Saturday.

The areas covered under this prohibition include Kachukhet Road, Bijoy Sarani to the Chief Adviser’s Office via Bir Shreshtho Shaheed Jahangir Gate, BAF Shaheen College to Motijheel Flyover, Sainik Club intersection, Bhashantek, Matikata, ECB Chattar and their surrounding areas.
