Health experts for AI integration into healthcare

Public health experts have emphasised the importance of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Bangladesh’s healthcare system, while underscoring the need to leverage AI both ethically and effectively.
They made the call during a seminar titled "Unlocking AI's Potential in Life Sciences: A Policy Dialogue" was held at United International University (UIU) on Saturday, according to a press release.

The event was organised by UIU’s Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation, and Commercialisation (IRIIC), in line with the nation’s #INVESTBANGLADESH initiative, which seeks to position Bangladesh at the forefront of health innovation. The panel featured prominent speakers, including Wu Jianbo, Secretary-General of the Green & Smart Energy Organization (GSEO), who shared insights on sustainable technological integration.

Tanvir Kabir, counsellor (Political) at the Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin, offered a governmental and diplomatic perspective on international collaboration and standards. Industry and technological viewpoints were shared by Sanowar Hossain, Business Manager at CeGat GmbH in Tübingen, Germany, and Dr Sadman Sakib, Senior Genomics Scientist and Research Associate at Evotec SE in Hamburg, and notably Co-founder and Director of the Centre for Science-Tech Policy & Diplomacy (CSTPD).
