A Dhaka court on Sunday issued arrest warrants against a total of 53 individuals, including ousted fascist prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her younger sister Sheikh Rehana, and Rehana’s son Radwan Mujib Siddiq Boby, in connection with three separate corruption cases, involving the illegal acquisition of 30 kathas of RAJUK land.
The arrest orders were issued by the Senior Special Judge of Dhaka’s Metropolitan Court Zakir Hossain Galib, following separate charge sheets, submitted by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Other prominent individuals named in the cases include Rehana’s daughters Tulip Rizwana Siddiq and Azmina Siddiq.
The court ordered the arrest warrants as the accused were deemed fugitives.
This information was confirmed by Aminul Islam, assistant director of the Public Prosecution Department of the ACC Court on Sunday.
On 10 April, the court had issued the arrest warrant against total 18, including Hasina and her daughter Saima Wazed Putul, in connection with corruption in the RAJUK’s plot allocation.

On 10 January, ACC Deputy Director Salauddin filed a case against Sheikh Rehana, accusing her of illegally acquiring a 10-katha plot in the Purbachal New Town Project in the outskirts of Dhaka. The case named 15 accused, including her daughter Tulip, and sister Sheikh Hasina.
Following an investigation, ACC Assistant Director Afnan Jannat Keya submitted a charge sheet on 10 March, accusing total 17 including Hasina, Rehana, and Tulip.

On the same day, another case was filed against Azmina Siddiq for illegally owning a 10-katha plot through misuse of power. The case implicated 16 individuals, including Sheikh Hasina and Tulip Siddiq. A charge sheet naming 18 accused was submitted by the same ACC official on 10 March.
Also, ACC Assistant Director SM Rashedul Hasan filed a case against Boby on 13 January, also related to the acquisition of a 10-katha plot. That case named 16 accused, including Tulip and Hasina. Following the investigation, a charge sheet was submitted on 10 March against total 18, including two new names.
All three cases were formally submitted to the Dhaka Combined District Office on 13 January, accusing the total 53.
In these cases, Sheikh Rehana, Radwan Mujib Siddiq Boby, Azmina Siddiq have been named as the prime accused, while Tulip Rizwana Siddiq and Sheikh Hasina were charged as associates.
