Bangladesh national team head coach Phil Simmons is set to arrive in Dhaka on 8 April ahead of the upcoming home series against Zimbabwe.
Joining him on the same day will be pace bowling coach Andre Adams and strength & conditioning coach Nathan Kiely. Under the guidance of the coaching staff, the Bangladesh players will undergo a preparatory camp at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium to prepare for the red-ball series against Zimbabwe.
The first Test of the series will be held at the same venue before both teams travel to Chattogram for the second and final Test.
This will mark Bangladesh’s first home series under Simmons' leadership and his first assignment since signing a contract extension with the team. The preparatory camp will be crucial in assessing the form and fitness of the players, particularly as most have been engaged in white-ball cricket since the National Cricket League (NCL) T20 tournament last December.
