The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday filed two separate cases against former lawmaker Mrinal Kanti Das and his wife, Nilima Das, on charges of illegally amassing and laundering wealth.
The ACC stated that the cases were filed against them for concealing illegally acquired wealth through money laundering, suspicious bank transactions, and abuse of power.
ACC Director General (Prevention) and spokesperson Md Akhtar Hossain stated this during a media briefing at the commission's headquarters in the capital’s Segunbagicha.
