Brazilian center-back Daciel Elis dos Santos arrived in Dhaka on Friday to join Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) champions Bashundhara Kings.

The 28-year-old defender began training with the team on Saturday, confirmed Kings’ Marketing and Media Manager Ahmed Shaaek.

“He arrived here on Friday and started training today. The signing formalities will be completed soon,” Shaaek added.

Daciel played for Chinese Football League 1 side Dingnan United last year. He has also represented Portuguese club Alcanenense and several Brazilian clubs, including Nacional, Botafogo, Fluminense, Primavera, Santo André, São Caetano, Coruripe, and Murici.

Meanwhile, Kings have already completed the signings of Argentine striker Juan Lescano and Uzbek midfielder Asror Gofurov last week.

The BPL champions are now awaiting the arrival of Ghanaian forward Evans Etti.
