A five-year-old child tragically died after getting stuck on an open rod following a fall from the rooftop of a five-storey building in the Halishahar area of Chattogram.

Mohammad Ramzan was the son of Bablu Mal from Char Bishwas village in the Golachipa upazila of Patuakhali district.

He had been playing on the roof of a building in the No. 2 Miler Matha area under Bandar police station in Chattogram. Accidentally, he slipped off the roof and landed on an open rod on the ground adjacent to the building.

CEPZ Fire Station Senior Station Officer Shahadat Hossain said that, upon receiving the information, a fire service team rushed to the scene and recovered the body.
