Hezbut Tawheed condemned the attack on the residence of its Rangpur division unit president Abdul Quddus Shamim.
Several hundred activists from the Dhaka Metropolitan Unit of the organisation protested against the attack by forming a human chain in front of the National Press Club in the capital on Tuesday.
They also demanded the arrest of the attackers.
Around 500 people under the banner of ‘Muslim Tawheedi Janata’ carried out the attack in Chhidaamhaat village at Pirgacha in Rangpur on 24 February.
The attack was carried out despite the presence of law enforcement agencies.
The attackers vandalised five homes, looted valuables, and set them on fire.
They also torched 23 motorcycles and injured 20 people, seven of whom are in critical condition.
However, the speakers at the human chain stated that a case had been filed, but no arrests had been made.
