The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Friday asserting that the Bangladesh delegation walked out of the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety during the speech of the Israeli team.

The ministry stated that some quarters had misinterpreted the immediate walkout by certain delegates during the speech of the Israeli delegate at the conference, which was held on 18 February in Marrakesh, Morocco.

"This is to inform that the Bangladesh delegation was also among the countries that walked out," the ministry added.

It said Bangladesh's position on the Palestinian cause, Israeli genocide, and other repressions of Palestinians is well known.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested all concerned to refrain from spreading misinformation regarding this particular situation.
