The probe body formed by the High Court to reinvestigate the death of five-year-old Ayaan, who died last year during his circumcision procedure, blamed two doctors of the United Hospital for the death.
The report was submitted to the HC through the Home Ministry.

In its report, the probe committee recommended action against surgery doctor Tasnuva Mahzabin and anaesthesia specialist Dr Syed Sabbir Ahmed as well as the hospital authorities.
The committee also suggested reimbursing Ayaan's parents and closing all unauthorised hospitals and clinics.
Ayaan, a nursery student at a private school in the capital, underwent circumcision under general anaesthesia in the United Medical College Hospital in Satarkul on 31 December 2023.
His father Shamim Ahmed claimed that the procedure was carried out without parental permission.
After the operation, Ayaan did not succeed in regaining consciousness
and was transferred to the United Hospital in Gulshan.

On 7 January 2024, he was declared dead after seven days of keeping him on life support and a bill of Tk5.77 lakh was handed over to his parent.
Later, Advocate ABM Shahjahan Akand Masum filed a writ petition seeking directions to compensate the victim’s family.
The Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) had submitted a report to the HC, which the court said was an eyewash and ridiculous.
DGHS deputy director Dr Porimol Kumar Pal has submitted the probe report of 15 pages to the HC.
Later, the HC formed the probe committee afresh to investigate the death of Ayaan.
The committee consisted of three doctors, two people from civil society, and a university professor.
Prof Dr ABM Maksudul Alam of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital became the chairman of the committee.
