Chittagong University (CU) is set to inaugurate an English language debate festival titled “CU Debate Fest 2025” on the campus today.
Chittagong University Debating Society (CUDS), the central debating organisation of the university, is organising the two-day debate festival.
The country’s leading English newspaper “Daily Sun” is the media partner of the event.
On the first day, a five-round debate competition will be held at the faculty of Business Administration on the university campus.
Besides, the rest of the competition will be held on the second day followed by the closing ceremony at the auditorium of Zilla Shilpakala Academy.
Modeled with the British Parliamentary Debate (BP Debate) tab format, 24 teams are participating in this competition. Promising debaters from reputed universities located at different parts of the country including Dhaka, Chattogram and Khulna are taking part in the competition which will be judged by the country’s renowned juries.
