BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has said the party acting chairman has planned to implement their 31- point state reform proposals by forming a national government.

“The BNP is committed to implementing the 31 points. After the election, Tarique Rahman will form a national government if voted to +power and implement the 31 points based on everyone's opinions,” he said.

The BNP leader came up with the statement while speaking at a discussion organised by the leaders of the US unit BNP at Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Wednesday.

“The BNP has driven the movement to overthrow the autocrat Sheikh Hasina government. The main driving force of this movement was Tarique Rahman and Khaleda Zia,” he added.

Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury further said those who are talking about the credit of this movement should look at the role of the expatriates who worked for the ouster of Sheikh Hasina and are one of the partners in this movement.

“Remittance warriors fought by sending remittances, and again fought by stopping remittances in the July Movement,” he added.
