The 17th edition of the Bangladesh Denim Expo is set to take place on November 4th and 5th at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, aiming to foster networking, business opportunities, and knowledge sharing in the global denim industry.
Organised by the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange, this two-day international trade show will feature exhibitions, panel discussions, and seminars under the theme “The Blue New World.”
The event will showcase Bangladesh’s booming denim sector, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, and designers from across the globe to explore the latest innovations in denim production.
Over 44 exhibitors from seven countries, including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, China, Turkey, Spain, and Italy, will attend. Exhibitor categories include fabric mills, garment manufacturers, washing laundries, accessories, chemicals, machinery, and logistics.
Four-panel discussions will address pressing topics for the ready-made garments (RMG) industry in Bangladesh. Themes include securing the RMG industry against challenges, steps needed for Bangladesh to lead the global apparel sector by 2030, the future of the RMG sector amid GSP+ and transition from least developed country (LDC) status, and unpacking buyer opportunities in Bangladesh.
Founder and CEO of Bangladesh Denim Expo, Mostafiz Uddin, emphasised the importance of strategic collaboration for the industry's sustainable growth. "It is high time we come together to formulate a robust strategy to address challenges and capitalise on available opportunities," he stated.
