Indian batters adopted a high-paced, T20-style batting to make history during the fourth day of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur on Sunday.
They shattered the records of the fastest team's scores 50,100,150,200 and 250 runs - all on the same day.

The opening duo of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal reached the fastest team fifty in Test cricket in just 3 overs, with Yashasvi scoring 30 off 13 balls and Rohit adding 19 not out from 6 balls.
This milestone surpassed the previous record set by England (in 4.2 overs) earlier in 2024.

While Rohit was eventually dismissed for 23 runs off 11 balls, the momentum continued with India's aggressive batting display.
They not only achieved the fastest fifty but also set another record, reaching 100 runs in 10.1 overs, beating their own 2023 record of 12.2 overs.
Jaiswal led the charge, smashing an impressive 68 from just 41 balls, including 12 boundaries and 2 sixes.  Virat Kohli and KL Rahul then joined the party and kept scoring runs with ease. They took India to 150 in 18.2 overs (surpassed their own previous best of 21.1 overs), to 200 in 24.2 overs (previous best by Australia in 28.1 overs) and 250 in 30.1 overs (previous best by England in 34 overs) - all record-breaking in Test cricket.

Kohli scored 47 off 35 balls smashing one maximum and four boundaries while Rahul bagged 68 from 43 balls including two maximums and seven boundaries.
The hosts eventually declared on 285/9 from 34.4 overs, their run rate was 8.22 then.
