Asian Tourism Fair kicks off tomorrow

The 11th edition of the Asian Tourism Fair will commence tomorrow at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.
The three-day fair will remain open from 10am to 8pm every day. Tourism Bichitra will organise the event in association with Bangladesh Tourism Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board and Tourist Police Bangladesh under the guidance of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
Mohiuddin Helal, chairman of Asian Tourism Fair and editor of Tourism Bichitra, announced the dates during a press conference held at a hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday.
He said the fair will serve as a gateway for travellers to explore captivating destinations, unique experiences, and exclusive travel packages.
“More than 100 tourism companies from Bangladesh, Maldives, China, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Bhutan, Singapore will participate. The fair will have various attractive travel offers, hotel, resort or package bookings including special discounts for domestic and foreign travel in the upcoming tourism season,” he said.
He also informed that hotels, motels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines, tour operators and theme parks and many other entertainment establishments are participating in the fair where there will be tourism related seminars, drawing competition for children, business to business meetings and cultural programmes.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines is the title sponsor of the fair while the Maldives is the prime partner country and Intercontinental Dhaka is the hospitality partner.
