A motorbike rider was killed and three others were injured in a road accident at Rampur area in Lohagora upazila of the district on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Shuvo Sheikh, 20, son of Imran Sheikh, a resident of Dhopadah village in Kashipur union of the upazila.

Police said the accident took place around 8pm in front of Niribili Picnic Spot when two motorbikes collided head-on, leaving four bikers injured.

Locals rescued the injured and admitted to Lohagora Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declared Shuvo dead.
