Bangladesh rested Mustafizur Rahman in their final warm-up match against India ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York just a day before the event on Saturday.

India scored 182 for 5 in the regulated 20 overs and set a target of 183 for Tigers.

Bangladesh seized their last opportunity to fine tune for the T20 World Cup and it did not go as per plan after their opponents chose to bat first in a sunny day.
Bangladesh got to a good start after Shoriful Islam removed Sanju Samson trapped plumb in-front by a sharp in-ducker as he looked to work it onto the on-side.

However, since that point India started to dominate the proceeding, courtesy Rishab Pant’s blistering 53 off 32 balls(retired) after making following Rohit Sharma’s 19-ball 21.

The Indian skipper was just looking to get into his groove but Mahmudullah with all the experience tossed up a delivery for a lofted drive and as the ball dropped in front of him the right-handed batsman could not quite get the elevation needed on the shot and hammered it flat and right down Rishad Hossain’s throat at long-on.
Mahmudullah, the experienced campaigner who was dropped from the last World Cup, took a stunning catch of Shivam Dube in deep of Mahedi Hasan to prove that he still got what it takes to handle the pressure of T20I cricket despite his age, 38 to be precise.

Surya Kumar Yadav made and Hardik Pandya was batting on 24 when the report was filed.
Earlier, Tigers’ first practice game against USA was cancelled due to the conditions of the facilities following the adverse weather that has affected the area.
