Bangladesh’s Under-19 World Cup winning head coach Naveed Nawaz is all set to reunite with the BCB in a similar capacity, the Bangladesh Cricket Board sources revealed on Thursday.
The BCB shortlisted three coaches - Ijaz Ahmed (Pakistan), Nawaz (Sri Lanka) and Wasim Jaffer (India) - for the U-19 head coach post after the post went vacant following the departure of Australian Stuart Law.
“Nawaz is expected to take over the reign of the U-19 set-up after Eid,” a BCB source closely working with the development told The Daily Sun.
Nawaz earlier guided the junior Tigers to their maiden ICC U-19 World Cup title in South Africa back in 2020.
